Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the core of how we conduct our business – that is to make sure we have a beneficial impact on society, the environment, and the communities we operate in.

Our CSR policy reflects our pledge to responsible and ethical business practices, equality of opportunity, human rights, community development and sustainability in the environment.

Environmental Sustainability

We take our responsibility to the planet seriously. RioMed is ISO 14001 accredited and operates under stringent Environmental and Health & Safety policies, enabling us to ensure that our overall ecological footprint is minimised. Our practices ensure that business operations do not adversely affect the environment, aligning with global sustainability standards.

Social Impact

RioMed actively engages with communities through initiatives that support education, sports, and healthcare:

University partnerships with Southampton, Solent, and Portsmouth to help develop internships and ensure careers continue in these sectors.

Apprenticeship programs develop talent and support routes into employment within the local community.

Hosting the annual RioMed Cup, a cricket tournament for hospital workers, with proceeds donated to local charities.

Recent Highlight - Promoting Community Cricket

As a continuing CSR initiative, RioMed was proud to be the sponsor of the prestigious Oxford Cricket Club vs Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Day, a fixture where players, supporters, and the local community come together to share in the joys of sport, values of ethics, team spirit, and mutual support.

The day had two main focuses, highlighting the importance grassroots sport can have in communities, but also pathways into new opportunities for local communities, connection, and youth development.

Our involvement goes beyond sponsorship. It’s about championing community values, encouraging active lifestyles, and nurturing environments where people can thrive both on and off the field.
